What is CHAMPS?
- Changing Hearts And Minds in relationshiPS
CHAMPS is a marriage and family therapy (MFT) study being conducted at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. Researchers are examining the relationship between exercise, sleep, stress, emotional regulation and therapy outcomes among marital couples. It is an important first step in gaining information about how emotional regulation processes function in clinical couples, while providing data on how to incorporate ideas about the variable and emotional regulation into marital therapy interventions. We hope this research will ultimately help create lasting change in couples attending therapy.
